Welcome!
The Rogue Theatre Co is located in the heart of Alton, inside a former schoolhouse. We believe in art, in artists, and in the revitalization of our small, unique river town. We occupy classroom 204, on the third floor of a thriving small business incubator at The Milton Schoolhouse and offer a variety of interesting, creative, and fun things to do, see, and play. Our mission is to bring a professional theatre experience to the Riverbend area while also creating a venue to give artists a place to explore and build their craft.

The Breakfast Club BRUNCH
On Saturday, March 24th five teens suffered through a morning detention that changed the course of their lives. We can't promise earth-shattering existential breakthroughs but we can definitely guarantee a good time! Join us for a Breakfast Club of our own on March 24th at 10am. We'll have brunch and watch the movie (quoting your favorite lines is required but no essays will be assigned)

Modern Calligraphy Workshop with Emma Vonder Haar
Join us Saturday, March 24 from 2-4 pm as we host an afternoon with St. Louis based calligrapher, Emma Vonder Haar! This two hour workshop will cover the basics of modern calligraphy, with personalized instruction.
This class provides all supplies needed to learn calligraphy, including:
~2 Nikko G nibs
~pen holder
~pencil
~tracing, practice, and grid paper
~Japanese sumi ink
~ink holder
~cleaning cloth
In addition to all supplies, you will receive a hand-lettered instruction packet with all of the information you'll need to get the hang of calligraphy. This class is hands-on and no prior experience (not even good handwriting!) is necessary.
Light refreshments will be provided. Registration serves as your ticket for the event and is non-refundable.

Next Steps Swing Dance Lessons
What's this The Big Band is BACK! Rogue will be hosting our popular swing class again every Sunday for four weeks, beginning March 4th. Gwyn Marini joins us for this session as our guide through the "Next Steps" in East Coast Swing; perfect if you've already taken a class or have learned how to swing dance before. Although this is our next level of class it's still plenty easy enough for beginners. We will cover body positioning, footwork, and swing outs. Cost is $10 cash at the door and registration is not required!
Bring a partner or come alone and we will pair you up. This class is appropriate for kids 13 and up. Doors open at 3, hour long lesson begins at 3:30, music stays going until 5:00 if you wanna stay and practice/dance!

Mindful Movement for Toddlers
Attention Tiny Humans ages 2-5! Bring your favorite adult human and come out to Rogue for some fun with movement! You'll join Jamie Stunkel for a yoga class designed just for you. Bring your favorite Big Human (parent, aunt, older sibling) for 30 minutes of fun stretching, moving, and learning simple yoga poses and then stick around afterward for a short story and SNACKS. Only 1 yoga mat is necessary per duo
-$15 per Big Human; Tiny Human is included. Want to bring two Big Humans with you? $5 per additional big person.

Rampage at Rogue- A Harry Potter Inspired Murder Mystery Fundraiser
Sly Hedgehog Productions LLC​ has GONE ROGUE!
We're teaming up to bring you an amazingly COOL fundraising event to bankroll the purchase of an A/C unit in the theatre.
No one likes to sweat, so to keep you cool and to keep you COOL we're offering another night of a Harry Potter inspired mystery, one of their most popular themes. Join us for a night of intrigue and murder as we try to solve a mysterious death. Enjoy a full catered meal, participate in team challenges, search for clues, solve puzzles, and more, all while trying to avoid the killer. Unless the killer is you!
Funds raised from this event will go toward the expansion of The Rogue Theatre Co's performance space and arts programming (namely we are purchasing and installing an A/C unit to cool the space). The Rogue Theatre Co is a registered 501(c)(3)
